Kenmore Heritage Society: Teachings of the First People

Join the Kenmore Heritage Society for a fascinating evening of storytelling by Native American master story teller, Roger Fernandez.

Roger Fernandes, or Kawasa, as his fellow members of the Lower Elwha Band of S’Klallam Indians call him, has strong feelings about how stories should be shared. This tribal historian, artist, and teacher specializing in Coast Salish art, does not believe stories should be trapped inside books.

Free admission, light refreshments and door prizes

North Eastside Mobility Project Open House - Metro Changes

You may remember that King County Metro conducted two phases of public engagement in our area this summer for the North Eastside Mobility Project and heard from more than 1,000 residents and businesses! After evaluating that feedback, high ridership potential, and access to neighborhood amenities, parks, shopping, and employment centers, they are now proposing possible changes to service. Their next round of public engagement for these proposed changes runs from October 16th through November 13th. This is the time to give your input!
