Bus Rapid Transit Survey Closes Wed, Jun 13th

SR 522/NE 145th Bus Rapid Transit is coming to Kenmore in 2024 and Sound Transit needs your input! BRT is a high-capacity bus system designed for fast arrivals and departures, with off-board fare payment and multiple-door entry and exit. Buses will have priority travel on the route with separate lanes and bus queue jumps (timed light that allows bus to go through first). The new route will connect communities from Shoreline to Woodinville via NE 145th Street, SR 522 and an expanded transit center at UW Bothell/Cascadia College. The route has nine BRT stations connecting Linklight rail at the Shoreline South/145th Station to I-405 BRT in Bothell. Kenmore will be getting two new stations and a 300-stall parking garage. In this early phase, your input is critical as Sound Transit works with the city to fine-tune decisions. Where should the two stations go? What is the best location for the garage and does it complement our development and traffic plans? Check out Sound Transit's online open house to learn more and provide your input by Jun 13th. Tell your Kenmore neighbors to do the same! https://sr522brt.participate.online/
