Special Events in Kenmore are expanding and so is the opportunity to get involved in your local community. Events gather a community together, help educate and enlighten, and foster community pride. New events are added frequently, check in often to this events webpage to stay updated on all the fun activities happening in Kenmore in 2017.

Jack Crawford Day

Saturday, October 21, 2017

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Log Boom Park, 17415 61st Ave NE

Come join us at the annual park cleanup event, Jack V. Crawford ‘Courtesy is Contagious in Kenmore’ Day, on October 21 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at Log Boom Park. The event is in honor of Kenmore’s first mayor and his contributions to the City. Volunteers are needed to help remove invasive plants and pick up trash. If you have them, please bring your own work gloves. Tools, drinks, and snacks will be provided. 



Halloween at the Hall

Kenmore residents are invited to the second annual Halloween at the Hall event in downtown Kenmore! Wear your costume and join us on Friday, October 27 starting at 5:00 p.m. for several fun activities, including trick-or-treating, arts and crafts, face painting, and more. 




Tree Lighting Festival and Holiday Market

Kenmore Christmas Tree Lighting Festival & Holiday Market occurs annually on the first Saturday in December. The family-friendly event includes entertainment from local choirs and dance groups, arts and crafts, food trucks, holiday craft market, and photos with Santa. Santa surprises children with his arrival by fire truck.

Light Up Kenmore Home Decorating Contest

Kenmore residents are encouraged to decorate their home and enter the inaugural Holiday Home Decorating Contest. Untangle those lights, pull out the inflatables, and get decorating! Categories will include Most Creative, Judge’s Choice, and Best Neighborhood Effort.



Beautify Kenmore!

Friday - Sunday, April 21, 22 & 23, 2017

A day to “give back” to the community. Celebrate Earth Day by picking up litter or beautifying the common space around your neighborhood. 

Come participate in the annual "Beautify Kenmore" event taking place Friday, April 21, through Sunday, April 23! This event takes place across Kenmore and is organized by YOU!

Perhaps you and your neighbors want to get together and beautify your street. Or you simply want to make your driveway look the best on the block. Gather your soil, flowers, gardening gloves, shovels, friends and family and head outside that weekend and help beautify Kenmore. This community event is volunteer-based and is a great way to get to know your neighbors and foster a sense of community.  






4th of July Fireworks Show

Tuesday, July 4

7:30 p.m. Fireworks Show fires at 10:00 p.m.

Log Boom Park, 17415 61st Ave NE

Watch the night sky light up and have a fun-filled Fourth of July! The Kenmore Fireworks Show presented by Frank Lumber blasts off at 10:00 p.m. from the Log Boom Park pier (17415 61st Ave NE). Prior to the fireworks show, join in the festivities with fun activities and food vendors starting at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and all you need to bring is a blanket or chair! 
As a reminder, personal fireworks are prohibited in Kenmore city limits.




Kenmore Summer Concert Series

National Night Out Against Crime

Come meet your local police officers and neighbors at the annual National Night Out Against Crime on Tuesday, August 1 from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m. at Kenmore City Hall. The Kenmore Police Department invites you to join them for a free barbecue with hot dogs and hamburgers, learn tips on home and personal safety, and enjoy other activities.

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals, letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.




Kenmore Play Day

Kenmore Play Day is a city-wide event that recognizes the importance of play in keeping children and families active and healthy. Play Day works with Kenmore’s health, fitness, and play providers to provide an event with fun family activities, fitness education, and information to connect families with recreation and play opportunities within Kenmore. 

Free shuttle operates from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.:

  • Arrives about every 20 minutes to stops. Stops located at Northshore Utility District, Kenmore City Hall and a 3rd location TBD.  Last shuttle leaves Rhododendron Park at 2:15 p.m.  Very limited parking will be available on NE 170th Street near the park. No parking available at Rhododendron Park .

The #WhyILoveKenmore Summer Party is almost here! Join us to celebrate the Kenmore community and the grand opening of the Town Square and Hangar building. 

The celebration features:

• Family-friendly activities, including bouncy house, chalk art, touch-a-truck, crafts, and games

Wallace Swamp Creek Nature Walks

First Monday of each month, May through October.

9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 

Wallace Swamp Creek Park parking lot, 19851 73rd Ave NE

If you enjoy exploring the natural outdoors, we invite you to participate in the City’s free guided nature walks at Wallace Swamp Creek Park!

On the first Monday of each month between May through October,  volunteer Linda Phillips will host a 1.5 - 2 hour-long guided tour and explore two miles of paved and primitive trails through the 25-acre park. Tours will focus on more than 35 species of birds that are frequently seen in the park. Bring a pair of binoculars and a love for the outdoors.

Tours start at 9:00 a.m. at the kiosk at Wallace Swamp Creek Park parking lot, 19851 73rd Ave NE. Participants under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent.
