Project Description

The goal of this project is to provide a new sidewalk along NE 192^nd St from 73^rd Ave NE to 75^th Ave NE.  Along with the sidewalk, there will a be reduction in pedestrian crossing at NE 192^nd and 75^th Ave NE by adding intersection curbing and reducing the radii. A new school zone flashing beacon will also be added.  This project will also include a culvert replacement between 73^rd Ave NE and 75^th Ave NE.  See the image for more information on exact locations

NE 192^nd St near the 7400 block

Description

The Culvert Replacement project is a Surface Water project that the City of Kenmore is tying together with the NE 192nd St sidewalk project to reduce cost and impact to the neighborhood.  The current culvert is an existing concrete pipe that is not ‘fish passable.’  The project with replace the culvert near the 7400 block of NE 192^nd St. with a fish-passable culvert that will include wingwalls, headwalls, pavement restoration and public utility relocations. To facilitate construction of this culvert, NE 192^nd St will be closed to through traffic at the culvert location.  As the project progressing through the design phase, more information on the project and the impacts will be shared with the neighborhood.
