Inspections are required for all permitted projects. Inspection requests may be submitted through My Building Permit. All inspection requests shall be submitted before 5:00 p.m. to receive an inspection the following business day. For electrical work, contact Washington State Labor and Industries at (425) 990-1400. Special Inspections:

Special inspections, as defined in the International Building Codes chapter 17 are inspections of construction requiring the expertise of an approved special inspector in order to ensure compliance with the code and approved construction documents. Special inspections can be continuous, where the special inspector is present when and where the work is being performed, or periodic, where the special inspector is only intermittently present. When are special inspections required?

Special inspections may be required by the building code, Building Official, architect, engineer, geotechnical professional, or other design professional. 

Where do I send special inspection reports?

Special inspection reports should be emailed directly to your inspector and copy ("cc") permittech@kenmorewa.gov
