Arts of Kenmore
Arts of Kenmore is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing sustainable opportunities for artists and engaging community with accessible arts experiences that improve quality of life.
As the City's designated Local Arts Agency, AOK's focus is to connect people with art by employing multi-faceted approaches to the planning, design and placement of arts to be most accessible in the public realm. AOK collaborates with the City, with citizens, and community partners to integrate projects and events that reflect the interests of our community.
The organization sponsors events each year so that the community may enjoy performances by musical, visual and other arts groups. Visit www.artsofkenmore.com.
As If Theatre Company
In the long-standing debate, “Does art imitate life or does life imitate art?” As If Theatre Company consciously chooses the latter. We want our art to instill within you hope and laughter, conflict and resolution, empathy and awareness, and a deeper understanding of yourself and others.
We are committed to bringing engaging, challenging, and entertaining theater to the community just north of Seattle. Our company believes that theater is community and together we can tell stories that inspire thought, engage conversations, and join all of us together to tell a bigger story. Passionate and dedicated, As If Theater Company’s ultimate goal is to change our small piece of the world for the better.
Performing at the historic Kenmore Community Club, As If Theatre Company was started by local theater artists, Cindy Giese French, Amy Gentry, and Molly Hall, who wanted to create an artistic home in the Northend. As a burgeoning city without a theater group, Kenmore was the ideal location to call home.

HEART Repertory
A graduate of theatre arts at the University of Washington, Hjalmer Anderson began his career as a high school theatre arts teacher at Inglemoor High School in 1974 and continued to found the Woodinville High School Theatre program in 1983. His teaching career spanned 32 years, garnering numerous awards for his students and program during his tenure, including representing the United States at the Fringe Festivals in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1999 and 2004.
Currently Hjalmer is a co-founder of HEART and its Artistic Director. He directed 17 of HEART's streaming video shows including many from radio series like Our Miss Brooks, The Murder Clinic, Escape, Suspense, On Stage, The Haunting Hour, and My Friend Irma. He would like to thank the founding members and the original core group of actors of HEART. This new theatre company started from the strong love and friendships that have helped us survive the pandemic.
He was excited to get back to the stage and launch our first season of live theatre with the revival of Neil Simon's Chapter Two, and he looks forward to the future of the new theatre company HEART Repertory Theatre. www.heartrep.org

Kenmore Heritage Society
How much do you really know about Kenmore? You may have learned its history through books, or stories shared at family gatherings, but we bet they left out some of the more interesting and colorful history of Kenmore’s past. From the Meanderers, who 200 years ago lived along the waterway we now call the Sammamish Slough, to the famous author who was a patient at Kenmore’s Lakewood Villa Sanitarium, and the 1920’s nudist colony within swimming distance of the Kenmore beach at the north end of Lake Washington, these are the stories about Kenmore’s history we would like to share with you.
To enjoy the present and look to the future, we must understand and appreciate the past. Kenmore has a rich heritage which is a part of who we are today. Kenmore History Path is an enjoyable journey for people of all ages. Take a walk down the History Path at Log Boom Park.
