It is my honor to serve as Kenmore’s Police Chief. The Officers of the Kenmore Police Department make a daily commitment to provide the residents and visitors of Kenmore with high quality, professional law enforcement services. We have officers actively working 24/7, dedicated to being responsive to the needs of the community.

The Kenmore Police Department consists of 13 commissioned Officers, 11 of which are assigned to patrol. In 2022 we responded to nearly 3,400 calls for service, and initiated in excess of 6,200 contacts. Officers are engaging with the community in local events, in our schools, and in a collaborative approach to address crime trends.

We leverage technology to most efficiently address issues that arise in the community, including support of the Engineering department’s automated photo enforcement project, and the use of online reporting for crimes that are not in-progress.

Kenmore also has invested in our partnership with the Regional Crisis Response (RCR) agency, a collaboration between Kenmore, Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Bothell, and Kirkland that provides Officers access to Mental Health Professionals (MHP) for assistance at calls involving those in crisis. These trained Crisis Responders also conduct follow-up with those members of the community that would benefit from additional resources and support.

I encourage you to call upon us when you see an issue that needs addressing. If you observe suspicious activity, please take the time to call 911 or our non-emergency line (206/296-3311). Also, please follow us on Facebook, Twitter (@KenmoreWApolice), and NextDoor for the latest news in the community.

Kenmore is a thriving community and it is our honor to be a part of it. We strive to create a safe environment where you will continue to love where you live. Please contact us if we can help in making this happen.

Sincerely,
Brandon Moen
Chief of Police
