A Partnership with Cascadia College
This program was inspired by American Rescue Plan Act community engagement in 2021 and 2022 and funds were allocated by the Kenmore City Council for Catch-up Learning and Childcare Support at their May 16, 2022 meeting.
The Catch Up Learning program operated by Cascadia College is designed to assist students whose education was impacted by the pandemic. During the school year, students can participate in tutoring and academic coaching to help address academic needs and prepare for college or next steps after high school. During the late summer months of 2024 and 2025, a two week Summer Academy will be offered.
The 2024 Summer Academy will run from August 19 - August 29, 2024. Participants will earn three college credit hours and the program is free. Interested Kenmore residents and Northshore School District students can email Cascadia Academy at cascadiaacademy@cascadia.edu for more information.
The program is open to current high school students who reside in Kenmore, and the Summer Academy is also open to immediate past graduates. Students and their parents can reach out to high school counselors for a referral to the program administrators, or email Cascadia Academy at cascadiaacademy@cascadia.edu directly for more information.
