Annie J delivers a close and personal blend of retro soul and modern pop. Her vocal mastery and presence as a performer make for a playful and moving display that pays homage to acts like Dusty Springfield, Martha and the Vandellas, or Remi Wolf and Elle King.
Born and raised on the east side of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State, Annie J kicks it with the finest musicians on and off stage, working as a vocalist with Seattle Rock Orchestra, The True Loves, Odesza, The Dip, Allen Stone, Mike McCready, Ayron Jones, Jimmie Herrod, Barrett Martin and the late blues legend, Cedell Davis, to name a handful.
July 25 - Kupono + Hula O Lehualani (Hawaiian music)
Kupono (koo poh no), featuring Elias Kauhane (cow-honey), Peter Tabali (Tah bah ley), and Kermet Apio (Ah pee oh), all hail from the beautiful island of Oahu. Their deep love for the islands has united them as a Hawaiian trio – Kupono. The name "Kupono" has multiple meanings, including Honest, Appropriate, Reliable, and Excellence, embodying the essence of their music and character.
Hawaiian music soothes the soul and reminds us of the beautiful Hawaiian people, rich culture, breathtaking mountains, picturesque beaches, and the pure aloha Hawaii offers. Kupono's harmonious blend of vocals, ukulele, slack key guitar, and bass will transport you back to the islands, making you feel like you are truly there.
